Utility Views

 

The utility industry has multiple perspectives on their customers.  They need to keep the knowledge of the equipment within a building so they can add value to the new occupant.  Data also needs to follow the exiting customer to their new location.  Payment history, usage, service contact dates, and parent company are all important factors to be considered when determining who, what, when, and where to solicit.

Premise View  Premise is defined as a unique physical location and may have one or multiple meters.  Includes historical usage, built date, move in date, and number of occupants.  Also, information on the premise equipment, installation date, service date, and service contract end date is captured. 

 Account View  Account is defined as an agreement to provide a customer  with a product or service.  This tracks physical location, billing address, third party information, and payment history.

 Customer View  Customer is defined as an individual or business that has 1 or more accounts.  You need a complete view of your customer by integrating all their accounts and data from operational, transactional, historical, and customer service sources. 

Parent View  The parent view identifies parent company and subsidiary relationships.  This helps encompass the true value of a customer.  Parent company directives can dictate or influence subsidiary customer purchases, while not actually being identified on the account.

 Promotion Criteria  Analyze and select from multiple data fields allowing  product specific and customer based promotions.  Quickly perform “what-if” analysis on criteria selected.

 Promotion Triggers  Deploy trigger initiated promotions relying on usage, an event, or survey response information.
